Art Class with Denver Kindercare

I had the amazing opportunity to teach a painting class with an elementary class at Kindercare! It was so much fun getting to be in the classroom and see everyone have fun painting fireworks for the 4th of July!

As I work to get my educator's license for Colorado, this is great practice for me to experiment with instruction and guidance with the kids! Seeing everyone transform their canvases makes my heart sing, and I know it's what I'm meant to do.

My art teachers growing up are the reason I pursued my BFA. I've known since I was these kids' ages that I was going to be a teacher one day. At first, it was Social Studies, but I realized that Art was my true calling in high school. I hope that I can be the spark that lights the candle of creativity for my students, just as my teachers were for me.
