This piece is a digital colorization of a manga page from Tokyo Ghoul, created as a study in mood, lighting, and emotional intensity. Working from the original black-and-white artwork, I applied color to heighten contrast and psychological tension, using a limited palette of reds, blacks, and desaturated tones to reinforce the sceneโ€™s sense of instability and transformation.

The coloring emphasizes facial expression, eye detail, and atmospheric shadows, allowing color to function as a narrative tool rather than a decorative layer. By selectively introducing saturated red against muted values, the piece draws attention to moments of internal conflict and heightened awareness within the panel.

This work was created as a personal fan project and colorization exercise. I do not own the original line art and am not affiliated with the creator or publisher of Tokyo Ghoul.
